At Smile Street Pediatric Dentistry, we focus on preventative care to protect your child’s oral health and give them their best smile yet. We treat patients from 1 through 18 with special training to address the oral health needs of patients with special needs.
Our general pediatric dentist services include fillings, crowns, space maintainers, tooth extractions, and cleanings.
To help your child have a comfortable visit to the dentist, we use the most innovative technology, like digital x-rays and intraoral cameras. We have WiFi and iPads in the lobby during your wait and LED flat-screen movies with headphones to help your child stay distracted during their dental visit.
SEDATION DENTISTRY
We believe sedation dentistry is a safe and effective solution to help young patients remain still and overcome fear or anxiety about a dental visit. Sedation dentistry allows us to care for your child’s needs in a single visit without stress.
We use a range of sedation options to fit your child’s comfort and ability to remain still. The most basic form of sedation is nitrous oxide or laughing gas, which eases anxiety. Nitrous oxide is fast-acting and wears off in just a few minutes with no needles necessary. If your child has trouble staying still or is very anxious, we may recommend oral conscious sedation or IV sedation. The last option is the most profound type of sedation and allows your child to sleep through their dental visit. No matter which option you choose, your child will be carefully monitored during the entire appointment.
