Sedation Dentistry
We believe sedation dentistry is a safe and effective solution to help young patients remain still and overcome fear or anxiety about a dental visit. Sedation dentistry allows us to take care of all of your child’s needs in a single visit without the anxiety.
We use a range of sedation options to fit your child’s comfort and ability to remain still. The most basic form of sedation is nitrous oxide or laughing gas which eases anxiety. Nitrous oxide is fast-acting and wears off in just a few minutes with no needles necessary. If your child will have trouble staying still or is very anxious, we may recommend oral conscious sedation or IV sedation. The last option is the deepest type of sedation and allows your child to sleep through their dental visit. No matter which option you choose, your child will be carefully monitored during the entire appointment.
